 Basic Viewer: Free Patterns Included

When you install the Basic Viewer, you receive several custom pattern macros that generate patterns based on your own measurements. These are not fixed-size patterns; rather, they create a custom pattern every time you run them.

1.  Basic Bodice Pattern:

The Basic Viewer includes a basic bodice pattern macro with 2 style options –

• Bust dart bodice
•  Princess line bodice

This allows you to generate a fitting bodice that can be used as a foundation for your designs. A good design starts from a good foundation pattern. The bodice pattern includes sleeves. 

2. Interchangeable Collars:

To make the bodice more versatile, the Basic Viewer also includes interchangeable collar styles. You can combine these with the bodice and collar styles to create several style options. 

3.  Trouser Pattern:

The Basic Viewer also includes a trouser pattern macro. Simply enter your measurements, and the macro will draft the trouser pattern in your measurements. This ensures that your pants fit you specifically.

How to Register PatternMaker 7.5

After installing PatternMaker, you need to register it to activate the trial features.

 Step 1 – Order and download PatternMaker Basic Viewer: 

Order the Basic Viewer, then download and install the software on your computer. Your registration code will be included in the order receipt.

Step 2 – Install PatternMaker Basic Viewer: 

Double-click on your downloaded PatternMaker Software installation file. This will start the installation. Follow the installation prompts to install PatternMaker 7.5 on your computer. Copy your trial registration code from your order receipt. 

Step 3 – Registration: 

Close the installation if it is open. 

Locate the PatternMaker icon on your desktop.

Right-click the icon and select “Run as Administrator.”

This will open PatternMaker 7.5 in administrative mode and save your registration details correctly. 

Step 4 – Enter Your Registration Details

Inside PatternMaker:

1. Go to the top menu

2. Click Settings

3. Select Register

4. Enter your details:

• Name
• Email
• Paste registration code

Click OK to complete registration.

 Save Measurements

Save measurements once and reuse them in PatternMaker.

One of the most useful features of the PatternMaker Basic Viewer is the ability to save measurement tables. This feature saves users from typing measurements into pattern macros every time they generate a pattern. But PatternMaker allows you to save measurements once and reuse them whenever needed. This small workflow improvement can save a significant amount of time.

Pattern makers design pattern macros, and each macro may require a specific set of measurements. This means each designer usually provides a measurement template that matches their pattern system. When you save a measurement table using that template, it will work with all patterns created using the same system.

When measurements are saved, you simply:

1. Open the pattern macro

2. Select your measurement file

3. Run the macro

PatternMaker instantly generates the pattern using the stored measurements. This workflow is much faster.
